Alan: Yes he will be out for around 3 weeks so we are going to have to do without him, but we still have other players that can take his place, you know, our team is still perfectly capable of playing without him, I've got no doubt in the quality that we have with us at Watford.
Presenter: Ok thanks Alan for taking the time to be on the show, that was Alan Hill, the Watford assistant manager and good luck to him and his team for the game against West Brom this weekend. That's it from me for now,i’ll be back right after the news with more of your calls, we’ll also be talking to Andy Burn;ey about what we can expect from next week ‘s transfer deadline day. Rachel Trent:Goal FM news at 12. Department stores and shopping centres have been put on high alert this morning after a series of hoax bomb threats were made to several London boroughs yesterday. The MET police have already raided a number of houses and made arrests, but in the meantime have advised shoppers and store owners to be vigilant and to be aware of any suspicious behaviour .Goal Fm correspondent Dave Halloway is on Oxford Street and has more, Dave.
(background you hear people walking, cars/buses driving by)
Correspondent: Yes Rachel, it's a busy morning here on Oxford street, 1000s of shoppers rushing around trying to pick up last minute christmas presents. Yesterday where I am standing right now was closed off to the public after six terrorist threats were made to the borough of Westminster and the borough of Camden.I was told by the MET police earlier that they're aware of the identity of the callers and are making arrests at the moment, they’ll be making a full statement later, but in the meantime have warned shoppers to be extra vigilant. The MET’s assistant commissioner Martin Roache had this to say earlier:
(Background of if she was on the phone to the show earlier on)
Martin Roache:We’re telling the public to go on about their christmas shopping as usual but to be on the lookout for any unattended packages or suspicious behaviour, we don't foresee any repetition of the hoax calls today but we hope shoppers will remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings today, the busiest day of the shopping year.
Correspondant: That was Martin Roache, now certainly in the age of online shopping, there 'doesn't seem to be a drop off in numbers as far as i can see. There are certainly more police patrolling the area than usual for this time of year and I've been told that shopping centres have hired more security at the door keeping a close eye on everything. Now e, so clearly yesterday’s events haven’t stopped people from getting all their christmas shopping. Martin Roach for Goal FM News.
Newsreader: This morning, there were brief scuffles in Hackney during a student protest march against the increase in university fees and they are calling for the abolition of fees. A small number of protesters came and confronted the police and smoke bombs were let off. A statement from the MET police ‘A number of objects and smoke bombs were thrown at them during the confrontation’, they said that they made 10 arrests for public order offences. Goal FM correspondent Ashley Morrison was at the protest getting the protestors views on the increases in university fees

Student 1-I think it is horrible that students have to pay so much to get an education, us students are the future for this country and how could we do it if the fees are so high(potentially another student)
Student 2-The government is going too far with the increase in its fees we are going to be protesting all day and not going to stop until they decide to put it down

Sports presenter: Haringey FC manager Jose Ferrera’s had a war of words with his striker Mark Sanchez at the end of the first half of the game against Seven Sisters last night. It’s been reported that the manager’s been disappointed with the player’s contribution to the game for some time. A minor scuffle occurred on the touchline between the two which was broken up by players from both sides . At a press conference this morning, Ferrera insisted that the incident was blown out of proportion.
(background you hear camera clicking away and bit of chair moving)
Manager - yes we had a small disagreement, i just wanted the player to work harder and the player took it the wrong way, but that’s in the past these things happen in football, now we made up and its all kiss and cuddles

(Back to newsreader) Thank you Richard now here is Ashley Duggan with Traffic and travel
Ashley: The M25 southbound is very slow at the moment, that's due to an accident between junctions 5 & 6. The A406 eastbound at Brent cross is slow as well because of an oil spillage, so the two lanes are closed off. Meanwhile the other side of the road is also slow, thats because of drivers slowing down to look at the incident. Thats your traffic, im Ashley Duggan, i’ll be back in 30 minutes.
(Back to newsreader) Thank you Ashley and finally here is Megan Trap with the Weather
