Convo between a builder and an individual about the state of his house.
Builder- To fix up your house it will cost over a £1000
Man- Its too expensive
Builder- Have you heard of B&S?
(Noise of cars driving by or wind blowing)

(Sharp intake of air - oooh well)

Voiceover- B&S selling products at good prices and there's no need for a trade card just go online at B&S.co.uk, order and we will send it straight to you, terms and conditions apply

Station Name- Focus Group

Before deciding on the station name for my radio show, I conducted a focus group and provided them with a small list of potential names for my station. I made them give a rating from 1-10 on how good/catchy is the name.

The first potential name was Football Fm, this was given the rating of 5 out of 10 which is very average because it's specifying what type of radio station it is but the group didn't think it was catchy enough for a station name.

The second potential name was Sport FM, this was given a 4.5, which for me was quite surprising since I thought it was quite a decent name but the focus group thought otherwise and that it is too original

The third potential name was Game FM, this was given a decent rating of 6.5, the group though it was an average name but again it does not stick out and not a good enough name for a particular station.

The fourth and final potential was Goal FM, this was given a good rating of an 8 out of ten, the group thought this name was very catchy as well it's a good name for a sport station and would help to attract the audience I want, so I decided to use Goal Fm as my station name,

Cillet Bang Advert

Below is the fourth advert I will be analysing is the clip of a Cillit bang

In this advert there is a narrative in it between the man who is actually advertising the product and asking a woman what she thinks of it in which she replies that it does an amazing job and makes everything sparkle. The tone and music that is played in this clip is very lively and upbeat and try help attract anyone who has trouble with dirty surfaces.

Selco Advert

The third advert I will be analysing is Selco.Below is the clip of the advert.

The Selco advert has a voiceover throughout the clip talking about how good their products are, it has stores all over the UK and it has got good prices,At the beginning and at the end of the clip it has a slogan which help attract the attention of the audience which is trying to reach. As well as the music and tone of the clip is very lively and happy.

Lexus Advert

The next advert I will be analysing is Lexus.

This adert for Lexus does not have a narrative but instead it has a voiceover throughout it.It describes the features of the car and how comfortable, smooth ride it is with the tone of the voice of the voiceover giving that calm soothing effect. As well as by the tone of the voice it heps identify that the audience for this product is more middle aged well to do men.

Autoglass Advert

I am going to analyse an advert from autoglass.

Autoglass advert does not have a narrative but has a worker of a company talking about the smallest chip on your screen is easy to repair if you call it early before it gets too big, autoglass is cheap but if you pay through insurance it will be more expensive.Throughout most of the clip it sounds like it has been recorded outside as you hear vehicles driving past in a distance and at the end there is a narrative which talks about terms and conditions and it is aimed for anyone that drives a car.

Introduction To Adverts

As part of my radio I am going to need to include adverts as part of my show and will do this by listening to at least 5 adverts. So I will be looking at adverts that are intended for my target audience and listen carefully on how they are structured and the way they use the music as well as slogans/brands/terms and conditions etc.

The website Radioville contains all different types of adverts and I have realised that there are some differences between them such as some play music others not, another difference is that there could be a narrative which is a conversation between 2 people about the product and how it has helped them, or it could have an individual will simply just be talking about the product, also the use of different side effects and the use of voices to advertise it

Websites That Are Similar To Goal FM

I am going to be analysing 2 websites that I think are similar to Goal FM and will help me to figure who their target audience is.

The talk sport website homepage is not very bright but has average colours which may suggest that it doesn't have a specific target audience and its aimed at all ages as well as both genders, it gives you a choice of different types of sports so you can check on the news on that specific sport.

On the BBC Radio 5 live homepage however is more colourful that the talk sport page, it has bright blue colour dominating the page suggesting it may be for a teenage audience to late 30's early 40's and as well as it appeals to both genders.

Secondary Research On Audience

After conducting my primary research in the form of questionnaire, I am now going to look at websites such as Rajar which has information regarding audience listening habits. It collects data of the amount of people listening to that particular news station, amount of hours they spend on it etc.I looked at radio stations that are similar to mine such as BBC radio 5 live and Talk sport, I realised that there are over 50,000 people listen to the radio in London itself so it is a popular station, the age of these particular stations is quite broad as well as men and women listen to this (but mainly men), as sport stations are globally listened to and has big interest from everyone.
