After conducting a questionnaire which I distributed to a number of people and below the results have come in and this is what I found out on my research.
A vast majority of the audience is predominantly male so when actually doing my radio show I will have to do adverts that are targeted more for men.
For the age of my audience for my station, I got a range from 18-45 which would help me when it comes to making my advert since it determines the age of the audience.
I got a range of different feedback when I asked how often they listen to the radio, some said they only listen to it on the weekends when it comes to the main sporting event, others occasionally listen just to hear the news, whereas some never listen to the radio at all, so with this information it determined to when most of my audience will be listening to the radio so i'll know when to put the main stories/events on my radio show.
When asking what is your preferred station I got a variety of different feedback, most replies were depending on what they like the most on radio stations, for example if someone likes sports then they would tune into talkSPORT or BBC Radio 5 live or if they want to listen to music they would tune in to Kiss FM or Capital.
Most of my respondents said they listen tot he radio in the evening, they listen to the radio for different reasons, some just for the presenters, others to heat the adverts to hear if there are good deals or anything on offer but mostly they listen out for the news, so when creating my radio show I had to make the news catchy and for my target audience.
My respondents replied saying it depends what time of the day it was that they listen to the radio, during work they often go online and listen to it or if they are on their way home they listen to it in the car and if they are already at home they listen to it on the TV.
The type of news the respondents listen to were big range of choices, some preferred political, some (particularly women) preferred celebrity news and other preferred sports (particularly male).
All my respondents feedback to the question if voxpops, soundbites and correspondents add to the news to which they all replied yes, saying it gets them more immersed in the news and they like to hear other peoples opinions on a particular situation/topic, so when creating my radio show I will make sure to these into my station.

Introduction To Jingles
I'm going to create a variety of jingles for my radio show to give it a clear identity, I have listened to a variety of different radio stations and now have an idea on how jingles work and to try find the most effective ones to attract my audience to listen to my show .Also the way the jingles are constructed, e.g the pace, tone, sound effects etc will give an indication to what type of audience will be tuning in.So I will analysing a variety of jingles to see which ones would be most apprpriate for my radio show.
Below is the link to the variety of jingles I am going to be looking at:

Music On News Bulletins
In this post I am going to listen the music that is played in bulletins and jingles before/after or if any during the news at a variety of different stations. The point of it is to find the appropriate time to play music and when is should fade in or fade out so I will know when to play the music in my radio station if I choose to do so.
During the news there was music playing in the background throughout the whole bulletin and it was upbeat which in effect shows that it is for a young audience.
During the news there was no music playing in the background at all.
During the news there was also music playing in the background and it was soft but as well as upbeat which is more aimed at young females.
After looking at a variety of different radio stations and to see if they play any music during the news bulletin, I decided that I will not be playing music during the news bulletins as I want it to be aimed more for an older audience and more mature
