Analysing News Bulletins From Existing Radio Stations

I am now going to analyse news bulletins from three different National radio stations, with completely different genres of station and will see if they share a similar news bulletin.I am going to get the broadcast of the individual radio shows at the same day and broadcast at the same time, I will compare and contrast the running order, facts and 'news values' of each bulletin.

The three National radio stations I decided to analyse is Kerrang, BBC Radio 2 and Capital FM all of which have different audiences and different genre of station.









Comparing National And Local News

After analysing both National and Local news, pointing out the 5W's and the news values of each of them, I also found that there are similarities and differences between the two.

The news bulletin is the main element is a radio show, so I am now going to look at a variety of different news stories from a variety of places. I am going to analyse them in terms of layout and to see if they share the same news values and the 5 W's. First I will be looking at 10 national news stories from national newspapers and stories, then I will e looking at 10 local news stories and to see if they have the same types of conventions through a variety of different types of stories.
